A road and two Dothan businesses were closed June 24th after a construction crew ruptured a gas line.
A spokesman for the Dothan Fire Department says the workers were digging to lay fiber-optic cable when they cut a two inch hole in the line. Firefighters evacuated CenturyTel and Wiregrass Hospice.
The Headland Avenue and Technology Road intersection was also closed.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The roads were re-opened and the businesses resumed by 11-o'clock.
