Two people are recovering in an area hospital after a small plane crashed Sunday morning in Southern Washington County Florida.
It happened shortly after 10:00 a.m. in Crystal Village just off Highway 77.
Witnesses say the experimental Ultra Light Fire Hawk had just taken off from the nearby Crystal Village Airpark when the engine failed.
The pilot managed to turn the plane around before it crashed to the ground, clipping a power line on the way down.
Witnesses say the pilot’s 30 years experience and quick thinking saved lives in the event.
