There's a shortage of Christmas trees out of North Carolina due to a springtime freeze from North Carolina to Maine.

The Fraser Fir tree harvest was reduced by 30 percent.

North Carolina is famous for its Fraser Firs, a favorite among tree buyers for needle retention. North Carolina is second to Oregon in Christmas tree production.
