Unsafe roads continue to be a problem for a central Coffee County town.
For the second time within a month, New Brockton work crews have had to erect barricades along a heavily used route.
Traffic has been stopped at the Ainsley and Durham Street intersection.
Engineers say a section of sewer line underneath the road is broken.
New Brockton officials are concerned that the stretch of pavement may sit over a sinkhole. So, to prevent a car from possibly falling in, traffic has been rerouted.
New Brockton officials are seeking bids to do the necessary repairs in order to reopen the road.
