A movie shoot scheduled for this weekend in Destin has been canceled because of Tropical Storm Arlene.
Matthew McConaughey, Terry Bradshaw and Sarah Jessica Parker were headed to this Florida Panhandle resort city to shoot several scenes for an upcoming movie called "Failure to Launch."
But Wendy Griffin of the Emerald Coast Film Commission says film crews changed their plans after checking the weather.
The stars and local extras had planned to film a beach scene and a restaurant scene. The beach scene required clear skies and calm waters -- things that aren't likely with a tropical storm headed their way.
Griffin says the filming, which had already been postponed, isn't likely to be rescheduled.
The last major motion picture to film along the emerald coast was Jim Carrey's 1998 film, "The Truman Show."
