An Abbeville resident is behind bars after a routine traffic stop turns up more than expected.
Olin Grimsley Herndon, 30, was arrested Saturday afternoon when police found two pounds of marijuana in his car.
Herndon was pulled over for a traffic violation on Highway 431.
When a police K-9 alerted on the car, police searched the vehicle and found the drugs under the passenger seat.
Herndon is charged with first degree marijuana possession and is being held in the Henry County Jail on no bond.
