Bay County authorities suspect that a human head found in the water is that of a woman slain in March of this year. A man walking his dog found the head wrapped and in shallow water near the shore of St. Andrew’s Bay.
A positive identification has not been made. Investigators believe it is the head of 18-year-old Lennia Hing, who lived nearby. Her headless body was found in a Callaway marsh. Her estranged husband Blake Collier said his wife told him to kill her so that they could stay together forever. He also said he heard voices in his head. Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen says Collier confessed to strangling his wife, decapitating her body and removing specific internal body parts.
Collier was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He is being held without bond at the Bay County jail.
