Florida Senator Considers Presidential Bid

Florida Senator Bob Graham said he may run for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004.

Graham said he wants to offer "a new direction for America." He said no Democratic candidate has yet gained a "dominant position."

He said he's not satisfied with President Bush's leadership -- as the country faces what he calls "unprecedented" economic and military problems.

Graham has been in the Senate for 16 years. He also served eight years as Florida's governor. And he recently served as chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
