An investigator with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation has been placed on leave, following his arrest in Dothan on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The incident happened early on June 17th, just shortly after midnight. According to officials, 38-year-old Jayson Wade Solomon was cited after Dothan officers allegedly found him passed out inside his state-issued pick-up truck, which was stopped in the road at a Dothan intersection.
Solomon, who was off-duty, failed a sobriety test and refused to take an intoxylizer test. He was placed on leave, pending the outcome of an internal investigation. Solomon joined the Alabama Department of Public Safety as a state trooper in 1994.
