Jurors ended an 11th day of deliberations Monday without reaching a verdict in the corporate fraud trial of fired HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy.
A court official said the jury will take today off because two had a schedule conflicts. Jurors will resume deliberations Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
If no verdict comes Wednesday, jurors won't return until next Monday because at least two of them had prepaid vacation plans for Thursday and Friday.
Last week, Federal Judge Karon Bowdre ordered the panel to continue talks after the jury foreman said they could not make a unanimous decision on any of the 36 counts against Scrushy. He's accused of orchestrating a multi billion dollar earnings overstatement.
