A warrant has been obtained by the Troy Police Department for Carrie Jackson in connection with the recent beating death of Ruby Richardson at a rehab center in Troy.
Richardson and Jackson were roommates at the Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center for less than 24-hours.
Richardson died on May 25 of injuries she received during an alleged assault by Jackson just days prior.
According to a report from the department of forensic science, blunt force trauma to the head was the cause of death.
The Troy Police Department is still investigating this case.
A metal cane has been recovered that the police department believes was used in the alleged attack.
