A shootout with police in Apalachicola ends with one tee-nager recovering from a gun shot wound to the leg and her step-father shot by police.
Apalachicola Police and Franklin County Sheriff's officials arrived at a mobile home on Bayview Drive after someone hung up a 911 call.
There they found Howard Infinger, Sr. holding several children hostage inside.
The oldest, 19 years old, was able to help the three others get out a back window before she was shot in the leg by her step-father.
The girl then crawled out the window and police started firing into the home.
Infinger is also in the hospital being treated for a gunshot wound when apparently shot by police. He is in stable condition.
It is unclear what sparked the confrontation.
