We all get them in the mail -- credit card offers that are pre-approved, some even have checks inside.
Those offers can be dangerous if they get into the wrong hands.
Thieves can dig them out of the garbage and use the information listed to get a credit card in "your" name.
Creditors say people need to make sure they destroy any personal information before throwing those offers in the trash.
Creditors say many times people won't even know someone is using their credit until they look at a credit report.
That's why it's important to check your credit on a regular basis.
