Officials Confirm a Tornado Touched Down

The National Weather Service confirmed Sunday a small tornado made several touchdowns in northern Coffee County.

People living in the area spent most of the day cleaning up.

Residents say they were just thankful that no one was hurt or killed during the storm.

Most of the damage was structural.

The National Weather Service says the storm that hit in Coffee County was an F-1 tornado with maximum winds of 95 miles an hour.

The path was 100 yards wide.
