No sentencing hearing has been set for an Ozark man who killed a club manager after ramming his truck into a nightclub in Newton.
Dale County District Attorney Kirke Adams says 36-year-old Grady Hayes entered the plea to manslaughter.
Adams said Hayes drove his truck into the entrance of Toy Box Too on Jan. 27, 2004, after being kicked out earlier for fighting.
According to court records, Hayes left the club and returned about 45 minutes later and rammed the building hitting 51-year-old Donald May of Union Springs.
May was transported to Dale Medical Center where he later died.
Adams said Hayes didn't know he had killed a man until the next day when officers charged him with manslaughter.
