A local radio personality in the Wiregrass has been arrested.
Police say John Michael Erdlitz allegedly attacked an Enterprise man.
The 47-year-old is known to thousands of WKMX listeners by his on-air name, John Houston.
At this time, he is only charged with one-count of burglary.
Police say Erdlitz broke into Densby Holley’s East Lee Street home Monday night. He was reportedly armed with a baseball bat and knife.
Erdlitz reportedly beat Holley with the bat and then stabbed him.
The 48-year-old victim and his 22-year-old daughter were then able to restrain Erdlitz until police arrived.
Police say there has been an on-going dispute between the men.
Erdlitz was released from the Coffee County Jail Tuesday afternoon on a $10,000 bond.
Holley was treated and released from an area hospital with minor cuts and bruises.
Investigation in the case continues.
