A fugitive believed to be in our area and wanted for attempted murder in Delaware has made telephone contact with police.

Authorities said that Thursday morning, Brian Walden called Delaware state police to tell them where he left his getaway vehicle.

Since then, authorities have found the black Mercedes. It was in the parking lot of an Ozark motel. The car belongs to the Delaware man who survived being stabbed nine times allegedly by Walden.

Walden's family lives in Level Plains.

Local police have been bombarded with tips, ever since the 18-year-old suspect's picture has appeared in the local media.

If you have any information about Walden, you are asked to call Daleville Police at 598-4442, or Level Plains Police 347-0422.
