An Army officer accused of raping a New Jersey National Guard soldier will face a military jury and his accuser in a court-martial that begins Monday at Fort Rucker.
The accuser, 26-year-old Jennifer Dyer, says 35-year-old Lieutenant Mike Hall raped her after leaving an officer's club last August at Camp Shelby, near Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Hall contends the sex was consensual.
Dyer has said she reported the rape immediately and was given medical treatment, but that Army investigators doubted her allegations and sequestered her in a hotel for three days without access to a telephone.
Dyer declined comment as the military proceeding at Fort Rucker neared.
