The registered sex offender Florida police say confessed to strangling a 13-year-old girl is expected in court today.
David Onstott has already been charged with first degree murder, after investigators discovered the body of Sarah Lunde partially clothed in a fish pond near her house.
Authorities say Onstott went to Lunde's home looking for her mother, whom he once dated. They say the girl let Onstott into the house, where they argued and Onstott allegedly choked her.
The county sheriff says that Onstott "went to great effort to keep her body from being discovered." He wouldn't give details of the alleged confession.
Onstott, who spent five-and-a-half years in prison for rape, was already being held without bail on unrelated charges.
