A car crash near the Florida coast claimed at least one life late Tuesday evening.
One vehicle driving along US Highway 98 near Lake Morality Road in Franklin County lost control and struck a tree stump.
The vehicle then began to overturn, ejecting one passenger out of the vehicle before catching on fire.
That passenger has been identified as Rona Hawkins Jr. of Sopchoppy.
She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Two other passengers were in the vehicle. One was injured, the other was not.
The identity of the driver, currently in serious condition, has not yet been released.
