The state of Alabama has issued an Emergency Missing Child Media Alert.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Department and the Alabama Department of Public Safety ask for your assistance in locating Jade Sophia Padgett, white female, 16, 5'6", 115 pounds, with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.
Jade was last seen at 3 p.m., April 13, 2005, at Sand Rock School in Cherokee County, and is believed to be in danger.
Jade was wearing a long-sleeved white T-shirt, faded blue jeans, and tennis shoes. It is believed that she may be with an unknown older white male, possibly in his 30s, whom she met on the Internet.
