An investigation continues into a Geneva County official who may have hired someone who failed a pre-employment drug test.
Commissioner Fred Hamic says County Administrator Donna Jones hired the individual knowing the person had tested positive for drugs.
Hamic says it'll open the commission to legal challenges by those who have previously been fired for testing positive.
He wants either the sheriff or Alabama Bureau of Investigations to do a thorough investigation into the hiring.
The commission didn't go along with Hamic's request for an investigation, but he says the issue is not dead and he plans to bring it up again.
