McCain, Romney even in Florida GOP Presidential Race

UNDATED (AP) - A new poll continues to show a tight race among two leading Republicans heading into tomorrow's Florida primary.

A Quinnipiac University poll has Arizona Senator John McCain and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in a statistical tie, well ahead of Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee.

McCain had the support of 32 percent of those surveyed, compared to 31 for Romney.

Just two weeks ago in the poll, the Republican race in Florida was a virtual tie among all four candidates.

On the Democratic side, the poll shows Hillary Rodham Clinton well ahead of Barack Obama. But there are no delegates at stake because the national party stripped Florida of its delegates for moving up its contest.

The poll involved interviews with 481 Florida likely Democratic primary voters and 585 likely Republican primary voters.
