There are still some delays Thursday morning on a Covington County highway after a major accident that happened Wednesday.

River Falls police said an 18-wheel logging truck collided with a freight train around noon Wednesday.

Police Chief Jeff Holland said the unnamed truck driver was ejected from his vehicle during the collision, but was relatively unharmed.

Two of the 24 train cars derailed and some diesel fuel spilled from both the train and the truck.

Fire and Hazmat crews cleaned the fuel spill, and a big crane was brought in to lift the derailed cars back on the tracks.

Investigators said the railroad crossing lights and bells were working at the time of the accident.

No one on the freight train was injured.
