A Florida Panhandle man accused of strangling and beheading his possibly pregnant wife says she told him to kill her and that he hears voices.
Nineteen-year-old Blake Collier of Panama City was charged Wednesday with killing his estranged 18-year-old wife Lennia Hing. Her headless body was found in a marsh.
Collier told a Panama City newspaper that his wife told him to kill her so that they could stay together forever. He also said he heard voices in his head.
He remains in jail without bond.
Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen says Collier confessed to strangling his wife, decapitating her and removing specific internal body parts. Authorities are searching for the head and other missing body parts.
Collier also told the paper his wife was pregnant.
An autopsy has been conducted but tests to verify whether Hing was pregnant have not yet been completed.
