His lawyer says Michael Schiavo was cradling his wife as she died Thursday morning.
George Felos says Schiavo is feeling "profound emotion and loss" over Terri Schiavo's death.
Felos also offered a different perspective on what happened immediately before Schiavo's death. A spokesman for Terri Schiavo's parents had said her siblings weren't allowed to stay in her hospice room before she died.
Felos says Schiavo's brother and sister were with her for an hour and 45 minutes, and were then asked by hospice officials to leave the room, not by Michael Schiavo.
The lawyer says Terri Schiavo's brother objected and wanted to stay in the room with Michael Schiavo and a police officer. Felos says Schiavo didn't want a "potentially explosive situation" happening before his wife's death, and asked that the family leave.
