Gas prices continue to skyrocket at Alabama gas stations. The Wednesday Triple-A Alabama survey shows prices bumped up about two cents on the day. Regular unleaded averaged $2.04; mid-grades hit two-bucks 18-cents; and premium fuel averaged two bucks-nine cents a gallon.
Triple-A said that is about 22-cents higher than a month ago and about 40-cents higher than the same time a year ago.
Meanwhile, analyst predict that yesterday's oil refinery explosion in Texas could affect prices at the gas pump. The BP refinery in Texas City processes more than 400,000 barrels of crude oil a day.
