A massive and expensive GOP push for voter participation in Florida paid off for Gov. Jeb Bush.

Bush's victory over Democrat Bill McBride was aided by a record turnout at early voting stations and from absentee ballots in the mail.

New Florida laws allow anyone to vote early in the two weeks before Election Day or request an absentee ballot.

The GOP sent thousands of absentee ballot request forms to members.
