The battle over Flying J may not be over yet. Sources tell News 4 that Flying J is planning to take it to the next level.
After being voted down first by the planning commission, then by the Dothan City Commission, plans for the Flying J Truck Stop have been put on hold. That is, until they take legal action.
According to city attorney, Len White, Flying J has not brought any legal filings to the city's attention.
White says "I understand that legal action has been filed. However, I have not seen that. To my knowledge, the city has not been served with that."
White also added he is not surprised by Flying J's response, and expects the company to address the issues of property entitlement and concerns for resident's rights.
