BAYOU LA BATRE, Ala. (AP) - A search of waterways off the Alabama and Mississippi coasts for the last of four children allegedly thrown off the Dauphin Island bridge resumed this morning.
With favorable weather conditions, searchers headed into shallow
waters from Dauphin Island to Pascagoula, Mississippi.
The children allegedly were thrown from the bridge by their father on January 7th. The bodies of two boys and a girl have been recovered since the search began on January 8th.
Sheriff's investigators have asked residents living on the coast from Cedar Point in south Mobile County to Gulfport, Mississippi, to look around their property for a little girl's body that may have washed ashore.
The father, 37-year-old Lam Luong, a shrimper from Irvington, has been charged with capital murder in the children's deaths that allegedly occurred after Luong argued with his wife, 23-year-old Kieu Phan.
