Man Charged With Killing Bear in 2006

Bay County man is has been arrested for allegedly killing a bear more than a year ago.

Robert Stephen Hall, 35, of Panama City is charged with killing a black bear in Gulf County just before Christmas in 2006.

Black bears are a threatened species in Florida.

Hall faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000 if he's convicted.

Meanwhile, $2,500 reward is being offered to help find out who shot two other bears in Gulf County a few weeks ago.

Anyone with information about the crimes can call Florida’s wildlife alert hotline at 1-888-404-3922.

State wildlife officials say callers can remain anonymous.
