Coffee County district attorney investigators are still awaiting the full autopsy report on the Joseph Finkley murder case.
It’s been nearly three weeks since the 39-year-old's body was found floating in a Kinston pond.
45-year-old Richard Dale Taylor has been charged with murder.
District Attorney Gary McAliley says Taylor continues to fight extradition back to Alabama.
He remains at the Walton County Jail in Defuniak Springs with no bond.
The district attorney says it may take a few more weeks before the extradition takes place.
Finkley’s body was found after a two week search in Geneva, Coffee and Covington counties.
Friends of the defendant tell News 4 that Finkley was severely beaten after making remarks to several women at a party in Kinston.
Authorities have not released a cause of death or if there is a murder weapon.
The victim's ex-wife and her daughter face tampering with physical evidence charges in the case.
