Panhandle authorities hope the conviction of a long time drug dealer will cut the flow of illegal narcotics on the street.
Sam Henry Griffin will spend the next 30-years behind bars for drug trafficking.
In 2006, the 61-year-old Caryville man was arrested for possession of 30-pounds of marijuana.
Washington County Sheriff Bobby Haddock says Griffin was supplying dealers across the Panhandle and southeast Alabama.
Griffin also faces additional drug charges, aggravated child abuse, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
