Alabama State Troopers have the name of the two truck drivers in the fiery tractor trailer accident Monday night in Troy.
Troopers said the collision occurred at around 7:20 pm about two-and-a-half miles South of Troy on US Highway 231.
37-year-old Michael Edward Duke of Pontotoc, Mississippi was killed while driving a tractor trailer and 55-year-old Gerald Ruhnow of Osco, Illinois was burned in the accident.
He was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center, his medical condition is still unavailable.
Crews spent the night and part of the early morning hours cleaning up debris and a diesel fuel spill.
The highway reopened around 4:30 yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
