At least one person was killed and nine were injured when a line of strong storms rolled through south Alabama Tuesday evening and an apparent tornado touches down in Abbeville.

High winds damaged a high school and storefront in Abbeville and temporarily left the Henry County Courthouse without power.

Henry County Coroner Derek Wright said rescue workers found a body in the wreckage. The victim was not immediately identified.
