A Dothan man accused of killing his wife before trying to kill himself will remain behind bars at least a while longer.
Billy Ray Marchman is being held under a half million dollar bond.
He went to court Monday to ask a judge to lower that amount.
Marchman is charged with killing his wife, Pamela Marchman, in the couple's home two days after Christmas.
Police say Marchman then shot himself in the head, but survived.
Judge Ed Jackson refused to lower Marchman's bond.
He did agree to allow Marchman to receive any medical procedures he needs to recover from his wound.
