A confessed drug dealer could be facing more time behind bars after jumping bail to avoid prosecution.
Thirty-three-year-old Willie Sewell, Jr. of Abbeville failed to appear in court on a drug trafficking charge in March of 2003.
Authorities finally caught up with him a couple of months ago in New Jersey.
Sewell pled guilty to the drug charge last month and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Sewell was a star running back for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team in 1990.
He’s still waiting to stand trial on the bail jumping charge.
