A ruling by a New York federal judge may have many people reaching for the dental floss.
U.S. District Judge Denny Chin has ruled that Pfizer must pull an advertising campaign that claims gargling with Listerine is as effective as flossing, when it comes to fighting tooth and gum decay.
Chin ruled the claims about Listerine's effectiveness are false and misleading and pose a public health risk.
The ruling came in a lawsuit filed by a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson. No response yet from Pfizer.
