The deadline for Alabama citizens to register to vote in the Nov. 5 general election is Friday.
Alabama residents who are U.S. citizens and at least 18 years old can go to their county board of registrars, or through many state and local government offices.
The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot for the general election is Oct. 31.
A registration form is also available on the secretary of state's Web site at: http:www.sos.state.al.us.
