Forty-five-year-old John Henderson of Troy has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, but authorities said they've uncovered evidence linking him to stolen courtroom exhibits.

Henderson is one of the workers helping to renovate the Houston County Courthouse.

The missing items had been used during trials and had been locked up in storage cabinets that were forced open. The stolen property includes drugs, pornographic materials and a sawed-off shotgun.

Henderson was arrested after a two-week investigation. More charges are expected to be filed against him.

Meanwhile, steps have been taken to secure evidence lockers at the courthouse until renovations are completed.

The investigation continues and more arrests are possible.
