Geneva Airport

A flight into Geneva should be a bit smoother in coming months, thanks to a grant from the Alabama Department of Transportation.

Geneva Mayor Warren Beck recently received a grant for $100,000. The money will be used to repave the airport's runway.

In addition, Beck has applied for an additional $200,000. He eventually would like the runway extended to accommodate jet service.

It's been more than 20 years since Geneva's runway has been repaved.
