Here is a follow-up on a story News 4 first told you about earlier this month.
A man charged with attacking his mother with a machete remains in the Geneva County Jail.
Two-weeks-ago, Michael Lance Lindsey held authorities at-bay during a four-hour standoff at his family's home in the Piney Grove Community of Geneva County.
The 33-year-old is charged with assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Authorities say Lindsey attacked his mother after an argument over money.
Following the incident, Lindsey then barricaded himself in the house.
Relatives reportedly were able to calm him down over the phone and he surrendered.
He’s jailed under a $50,000 cash bond.
At the time of the incident, Lindsey was out on federal parole. That is expected to be revoked.
