The quick actions of neighbors and emergency responders are credited with helping save the life of an elderly Geneva man.
Early yesterday (Wednesday) morning, flames swept through an East Purvis Avenue home.
91-year-old Wallace Brewer reportedly became disoriented in the smoke.
By-standers say Brewer got out of the house, but stood on the porch while flames consumed the three bedroom home.
Firefighters quickly realized that Mr. Brewer was in trouble and got him out of harm's way. Brewer is with nearby relatives.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
