Police say they didn't even know about the stabbing at Mickey's Lounge on North Appletree Street until the victim showed up at a hospital.
Fifty-one-year-old Johnny Peterman was stabbed once in the chest during an argument in the club's parking lot about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The victim's sister took him to the Emergency Room of a Dothan hospital and Peterman was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Forty-one-year-old Wayne Black of Dothan is charged with murder in the case. His bond has been set at $50,000.
Police say the crime was apparently drug related.
Police say Peterman's death marks the first murder in Dothan this year.
