A Colorado man is back in Alabama and is charged with capital murder in the death of his parents.
Brent Springford, Junior was moved to the Montgomery County Detention Facility on Saturday.
He’s charged in the slayings of his parents Winston Brent Springford and Charlotte Springford on Thanksgiving Day.
Springford’s parents were the owners of the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company in Luverne.
They were found beaten to death inside their home.
Springford, Junior is accused of driving to Montgomery from Greenley, Colorado, killing his parents and fleeing in their vehicle, which was later recovered, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Two weeks later, Springford was arrested in a psychiatric hospital.
Springford, Junior has been fighting extradition since his arrest and finally on Thursday he waived his extradition to Alabama.
According to Montgomery County District Attorney, Springford will appear in district court Tuesday.
