Survivor: Palau

The 10th season of the hit show that wrote the book on "reality TV" is off and running.

"Survivor: Palau" started with 20 castaways.

When Episode 1 ended last night, there remained only 17.

All three contestants from Alabama are still in the mix.

Bobby Jon Drinkard of Troy, James Miller of Mobile and Ibrehem Rahman from Birmingham managed to stay in the game for another week.

55-year-old English teacher Wanda Shirk, and 23-year-old Jonathan Libby, a sales and marketing specialist from Dallas were the first to be sent home after neither tribe chose them to be a member.

39-year-old Jolanda Jones, a lawyer from Houston was sent home during the show's first "tribal council" of the season.
