The Chairman of Dothan’s Board of Education received an earful Monday night from the head of the teacher's union.
Sharon Cole of the Alabama Education Association publicly responded to Chairman James Hemby's call for a special closed-door meeting last month, which did not include School Superintendent Dr. Leon Hobbs.
During the meeting, which was held at an undisclosed location, school employees were questioned by board members for about four hours.
Dr. Hobbs was never informed about the content of the meeting.
Hemby says the closed-door meeting did not violate Alabama’s Sunshine Law because they discussed good name and character.
