Martha Perdue, a school superintendent's secretary in Bay County, is now nearly $13 million richer than she used to be. And that's after taxes.

Perdue, who lives in Lynn Haven, claimed a $32 million Lotto prize in Tallahassee Monday.

But she decided to accept a $17.8 million lump sum instead of the full amount, which would have been paid out over 30 years.

Perdue has worked 31 years for the Bay County School District in Panama City.

She said she has no immediate plans for the money, except that she's going to go out on one big shopping spree.
