Wiregrass law enforcement officers say it's one of the most unusual armed robbery attempts they can recall. Fortunately no one was injured.
William Tucker has been charged with one-count of robbery stemming from the incident in Geneva late last week.
The 27-year-old Geneva County resident reportedly went into the Riverside Citgo Store to buy some candy.
When the clerk opened the cash register, Tucker reportedly grabbed for the cash. He and the clerk began to wrestle for the money.
Once the clerk yelled "what are you doing", Tucker reportedly backed up, then apologized for his actions before leaving the business.
Employees at the business say Tucker would often drop buy to make one or two purchases.
He was released Monday night from the Geneva County Jail under a $5,000 bond.
