Geneva Residents Respond to Stray Dogs Problems

The near fatal dog attack on a nine-year-old Hartford girl has prompted a Geneva neighborhood to be proactive.

This week, camellia avenue residents signed a petition and turned it over to Geneva Police.

In the last month, more than a dozen cats have been mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs.

Following the attack on little Mariah Carver in nearby Hartford, residents feel neighborhood children and the elderly could be next.

Police Chief Frankie Lindsey says his department is taking the matter quite seriously.

Police will actually be setting traps in an attempt to catch the canines.
